T. carbonaria dispersing an interesting seed

Lately I’ve been doing a fair bit of work in the lab dissecting bees, and have therefore been collecting quite a few specimens from my hives at home. I have just discovered an interesting seed attached to the leg of a Tetragonula carbonaria worker I had frozen. While mellitochory (dispersal of seeds by bees) has been well-documentedamongst this species, so far I have not been able to identify exactly what seed this bee appears to be dispersing. It was attached to the leg of the bee with resin and appears to be a yellowy-clear colour with filaments. I’ll continue to update this post if I can find out some more about this.
